Hotspot Shield and Hulu No Longer Work Together

Sites like Pandora and Hulu block IP addresses not originating from the United States.  The solution for the past 6 months or so has been to use Hotspot Shield which proxies your IP address behind an US address.

As of today, this no longer works.  When you load up a video, you get the following:

ScreenHunter_01 May. 05 22.07

Pandora still works thankfully…

NOTE: There seems to be a solution to this problem – thanks to the comment below!  If you clean out your browser cache and then reconnect to hotspot shield it seems to work.  I suspect this is a temporary solution until Hulu starts blocking this new batch of servers.

When is the old world media going to get that the Internet is global and find a solution for all this rights territory nonsense?

Anybody come up with a solution that works now? This is a bummer.

I always had thought that it's illegal to force someone to identify themselves on the web in USA

I live in Canada and was able to use Hulu via Hotspot Shield (a free vpn app) yesterday.

Here's my solution.

Looks like Hulu found another way to block proxies/vpn. Even after blocking revsci.net cookies, many can't watch the videos with Hotspot Shield.

I'll keep looking into this.

It works most of the time for me. If doesn't I disconnect, wait for a bit then reconnect and try another browser. It does seem to slow down a lot more. Hot shield throttling hulu?
